BRAINTRUST, an integrated branding and marketing agency that specializes in the tourism, travel and hotel verticals, is seeking a Director of Integrated Communications to lead our public relations and social media teams.

Reporting directly to the agency owners / principals, based in New York City, this experienced communications professional will oversee a team of three PR Managers, and five social media specialists in our New York and Las Vegas offices.

We are seeking an experienced leader, who has current experience in both Public Relations and Social Media marketing, and has proven expertise working in hotel, travel, food & beverage or other hospitality-centric industries.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and manage PR and Social Media teams in New York and Las Vegas offices.
  • Direct, create and evaluate integrated communication campaign strategies for numerous clients in the hospitality vertical.
  • Direct, and evaluate social media content strategies, influencer marketing strategies and tactics, media relations plans, communication programs.
  • Direct, create and oversee SOPs that enhance and improve the integration and synergies between PR and Social Media teams.
  • Engage in limited day-to-day media outreach, PR pitching, and client management.
  • Oversee development of press materials, such as press releases, press kits, media invites, etc.
  • Instrumental in new business development, RFPs, and client pitches.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of communications experience, with recent experience at a senior or director level.
  • Strong knowledge of the hospitality industry, including current hotel trends, and marketing to hotel transient guests and group sales.
  • Public Relations and specific social media or digital public relationship experience.
  • Agency-side experience with hotel, resort, travel or hospitality clients, or in-house experience with hotel, hospitality, DMO, or F&B companies.
  • Strong relationships with regional and national media outlets.
  • Experience in social media activations, experiential marketing a plus.
  • Bachelor degree or higher in Integrated marketing, communications, Public Relations or similar degree.
